emphasizing better health & nutrition
Hello
Dr. Michelle T. Curry,M.D.
I'm a Norfolk native and at the age of 8 I had to have surgery on my foot and of course as a child, I was scared. I was also intrigued how the doctor could look at me, tell my family what was wrong and had a solution to fixing the problem. It was then I decided that I wanted to become a doctor.
I'm an alum of Granby High School, Norfolk State University, where I majored in Chemistry and graduated number one in my class, and Eastern Virginia Medical School. I did my pediatrics residency at CHKD here in Norfolk. I have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. To say I'm blessed, fortunate or whatever words one may choose, is an understatement.
I use my years of experience as a wife, parent and grandparent to not only treat the patients, but educate them as well. The goal of my practice is simple. We want to show we care. We want to help children remain healthy and grow up to fulfill their potential. We want to educate them on how to attain and maintain their health.
I'd like to personally welcome you to our practice if you're new, and thank you if you're an established patient. I've been practicing medicine for nearly 30 years and, with your support ,we will continue to provide the best care possible.
Hello
Maia Palma, PA-C
Pediatrics has always been my delight! I attended PA school at George Washington University where I graduated top of my class with a Masters of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. After moving here I practiced at Pediatrics of Kempsville in Virginia Beach for over 6 years. I also practiced at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth within their ER Fast Track.
I love children and have 3 of my own. My experience as a mother helps me to connect with patients and their families.
